As a host you can and have every right to ask your potential guests any respectful questions you feel necessary. We encourage you to ask them for their social media profiles, passport scans, other documents. Ask them if they're already registered as refugees/protected persons in your country. Ask them respectful questions about themselves. Please be considerate and keep in mind that people fleeing the war are already very stressed and traumatised.
